After we receive your files, your order would be processed and we would send you a refined low-res digital proof via email or FTP with a ‘Proof Acceptance Form’ confirming your specifications. 7.1. VAT guide
Please see our VAT guide page for more details, found in the footer of this page.

Most printed items are standard rated for VAT. That means you will be charged VAT when you buy these goods (assuming you use a VAT registered supplier). If your business is VAT registered too, then you can claim back the VAT paid in the usual way, and this article will not be of any benefit.

However, if you are just starting out, or if you are under the threshold for registering for VAT and do not have a VAT registration number, there are a few pointers worth knowing. Leaflets in particular are usually zero rated for VAT unless you do something that, in the eyes of HM Customs and Revenue (HMRC), causes it to be something other than a leaflet according to their criteria.

Futureprint (Northampton) Ltd Trading as Futureprint. Registered in England and Wales No. 985118. Registered office: Unit 1 Kingsthorpe Business Centre, Studland Road, Northampton, NN2 6NE. VAT No. 120472707

8. Quotation
Quotes are valid for 7 days after the initial quote date.

Any quotations are subject to change at any point without notice.

9. Payment Terms
Invoice payment terms are 30 days nett. No claims or allowances will be considered in respect of any invoice unless made in writing within 7 days from the date of the invoice. We reserve the right to add interest to any overdue accounts.

10. Delivery & Returns
Any complaints must be made within 24 hours of receiving your product. All products are made to order, and therefore cannot be returned.

Every effort will be made to deliver your goods on time, however we accept no liability for any loss arising from delay or error in the delivery of the goods. We do not accept responsibility for delays out of our control caused by the couriers we use.

11. Artwork, Proofs & Printing
All prices are based on files being supplied print-ready PDF’s. We accept most PC and MAC formats, these can be converted to press-ready PDF’s at a charge of £25.00.

Please supply your artwork in a “one up” file, we’ll do the imposition for you. Images, background colours and fills which are intended to print to the trimmed edge of the paper should be extended 3mm beyond the page to give a “bleed” to the document. This will make the page 6mm taller and 6mm wider.

Please check proofs thoroughly as once passed, all proofs are deemed correct and ready to go print and the responsibility passes to the customer. We will not  print until we have received a copy of the final proof with a written confirmation all is okay. Please note that the colour of the printed item will be affected by the type of material chosen for the artwork to be printed on.
